Our client in Vinton, IA is looking for a General Laborer / Industrial Cleaner!

Position Summary: Our client, a well-established building materials manufacturer in Vinton, IA, is seeking a General Laborer / Industrial Cleaner to assist with facility cleanup, material handling, and other general labor duties. This position is responsible for helping maintain a safe, clean, and organized facility through shoveling, sweeping, debris removal, material movement, and other labor-intensive tasks. This is a highly physical role performed in an extremely dusty and dirty industrial environment. Candidates must be comfortable working around sand, aggregate, cement-based products, and other construction materials. This is not a light-duty cleaning position. Daily responsibilities require frequent lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, walking, and shoveling throughout the entire shift. This opportunity is best suited for someone who enjoys physical work, does not mind getting dirty, and is comfortable working in demanding industrial conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shovel and relocate sand, aggregate, and other loose materials
• Perform facility housekeeping, including sweeping, debris removal, and trash collection
• Clean around equipment and production areas to maintain safe working conditions
• Transport waste, scrap, and debris to designated disposal areas
• Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed
• Help level and grade areas following cleanup activities
• Operate or assist with operating a skid loader to move materials and debris
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and instructions

Work Environment:

• Extremely dusty and dirty industrial conditions
• Heavy manual labor throughout the shift
• Frequent shoveling of sand, aggregate, and other materials
• Repetitive bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and walking
• Work around raw construction materials and manufacturing processes
• Indoor and outdoor work based on operational needs
• Exposure to heat, cold, dust, mud, and changing weather conditions
• Candidates should expect to get dirty every day

Qualifications:

• Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout an entire shift
• Comfortable working in dusty, dirty, and rugged industrial conditions
• Previous general labor, construction, manufacturing, landscaping, agricultural, or industrial cleanup experience preferred
• Skid loader experience is a plus but is not required
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
• Ability to follow directions and all required safety procedures

Hours:

• Monday – Friday
• 7am – 3:30pm

• $20/hour
