Shipping & Receiving Coordinator
1st Shift | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM | Overtime as Needed
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to join their team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and can balance hands-on warehouse responsibilities with a high level of computer and administrative work.
This is not just a forklift position. While you'll be responsible for packaging, loading, and receiving materials, a significant portion of the role involves coordinating shipments, managing documentation, and working within an MRP system to ensure orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and package products for shipment, ensuring items are protected and arrive damage-free.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments using forklifts and material handling equipment.
- Create and process shipping documents including bills of lading (BOLs), packing slips, and purchase order documentation.
- Coordinate pickups and deliveries with freight carriers and trucking companies.
- Utilize JobBOSS and other computer systems to track inventory, shipments, and order status.
- Verify part accuracy, quantities, and shipment details before products leave the facility.
- Occasionally make local deliveries using a company vehicle.
- Communicate with internal departments to ensure customer orders ship accurately and on schedule.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, inventory control, or warehouse coordination.
- Comfortable using computers throughout the day, including ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Ability to lift, move, and package materials safely.
- Self-motivated individual with a sense of urgency and a "pep in their step."
- Problem solver who takes pride in catching mistakes before products reach customers.
Why This Role Matters
The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is the final quality checkpoint before products reach customers. Success in this position requires someone who stays organized, works with urgency, and pays close attention to details to ensure every shipment leaves accurately and professionally.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM. Flexibility to stay later when needed to accommodate late-arriving trucks or shipping deadlines.
