Salary: $60,000-$70,000 DOE.

We are actively recruiting for a Shipping Lead for a technology company in Acton, MA. This position is responsible for selecting orders, preparing & packing products for shipment, organizing transportation and logistics of orders as well as inventory management. This is a Direct Hire position.

 

Position Responsibilities:

• Supervise the shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations for the technology manufacturing site.
• Process orders and oversee the cycle of order fulfillment.
• Pack and unpack outgoing and incoming goods, ensuring products are properly packed.
• Create shipping documents/labels and issue delivery documents through the SAP system, managing inventory and part numbers.
• Coordinate pickups and drop-offs for freight and hand deliverables, dealing with freight forwarders and arranging pickups, and managing claims.
• Track and manage supplies, stock, materials, and packages through the warehouse system effectively and safely, keeping stocked goods in order and conducting regular stock checks.
• Confirm quotes from freight forwarders and coordinate with accounting to confirm invoices, setting up transports with carriers on the customer's account or on behalf of the operations team.
• Manage incoming shipments, checking goods on incoming containers, and advising customers of transport and logistic-related matters, deliveries, and tracking numbers.
• Use a forklift for moving and stocking goods.
• Prepare Return Goods Authorization (RGA) for customers.
• Manage any logistic-related matter.

Position Requirements:

• At least 5 years of shipping & receiving experience required 
• Previous operation of forklifts required
• Previous ERP system experience including SAP preferred

The schedule will be Mon-Fri 8:00am to 5:00pm with flexibility available. The salary range is $60,000–$70,000 per year, depending on experience. This is a Direct Hire position.
