Janitorial Associate – 1st Shift

Location: Sumterville, FL
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Occasional Saturdays as needed)
Compensation: $17 per hour
Requirements: Must pass a background check and drug screen

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Janitorial Associate to join our team in Sumterville, Florida. This position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility, including production areas, offices, breakrooms, and restrooms. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, follows safety procedures, and contributes to a clean, organized, and professional work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors throughout the facility.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in designated areas.
• Replenish cleaning supplies, paper products, and sanitation materials as needed.
• Clean windows, doors, walls, and other facility surfaces.
• Maintain cleanliness in warehouse and manufacturing areas.
• Follow all safety guidelines regarding cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Report maintenance concerns or safety hazards to management.
• Assist with other general housekeeping and facility maintenance duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Prior janitorial, housekeeping, or custodial experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and maintain productivity throughout the shift.
• Strong communication skills; Spanish speakers welcome (bilingual is a plus).
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Must pass both a background check and drug screen.
