Building Maintenance Technician

If you love fixing things and have some experience in facility management/building maintenance, we would love to hear from you. We have a unique opportunity to help a local nonprofit organization to assist in their building maintenance department. 

Job Overview:

This is a temporary position with a possibility of it becoming evaluation-to-hire. 

Pay: $26.50 an hour
Hours: Full-time, 8 hours/day and 40 hours a week..

Responsible for maintaining the safe, efficient operation of building facilities, equipment, and grounds. Performs routine inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Inspect facilities and equipment and address maintenance needs.
•    Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and other systems.
•    Respond to maintenance requests, emergencies, and safety concerns.
•    Maintain accurate maintenance records and inventory of tools and supplies.
•    Assist with equipment and system installations.
•    Support pool maintenance, chemical testing, cleaning, and emergencies.
•    Maintain exterior areas, including lawn care, snow removal, salting, signage, parking areas, and playground equipment.
•    Set up conference rooms and spaces for events.
•    Follow all safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
•    Work independently and collaboratively on facility needs.
•    Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
•    3–5 years of facility maintenance experience, strong mechanical skills, or a combination of education and trade experience.
•    HVAC knowledge preferred.
•    Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices.
•    Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
•    Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
