Part-Time Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a dependable, detail-oriented Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist. This position will manage outstanding commercial receivables, communicate with customers regarding overdue invoices and help resolve payment discrepancies.

Responsibilities

Monitor outstanding accounts receivable
Contact commercial customers regarding overdue invoices
Prepare and follow up on payment reminders and collection notices
Research payment discrepancies and outstanding account items
Respond to customer questions by phone and email
Document payment commitments and unresolved issues
Update customer and payment information in the accounting system
Coordinate with Accounting, Sales and other departments
Support month-end reporting and receivables reconciliation

Qualifications

Previous accounting, accounts receivable or collections experience
Professional and confident phone and email communication
Strong organization, documentation and follow-through
Comfortable resolving discrepancies and discussing overdue balances
Microsoft Office proficiency
ERP or accounting-system experience preferred
