Manufacturing Engineer – Weekend Shift

A growing aerospace manufacturer is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to own process development, production readiness and continuous-improvement activities for assigned products and components. This is a high-visibility opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex manufacturing problems and transitioning advanced products from prototype into production.

 

Pay: $120,000–$143,000 annualized DOE
Schedule: Friday–Sunday, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
Location: Centennial, CO – On-site
Position Type: Contract with potential conversion

Responsibilities

  • Own manufacturing engineering activities throughout the product lifecycle
  • Lead manufacturing-process definition, workflow development and production readiness
  • Partner with design engineering on DFM/DFA
  • Support transitions from prototype development into production
  • Develop tooling concepts, manufacturing requirements and process documentation
  • Identify risks affecting cost, quality, schedule and manufacturability
  • Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions
  • Improve yield, throughput, cycle time and process scalability
  • Support APQP, PFMEA, control plans, SPC and Lean initiatives
  • Represent manufacturing engineering on cross-functional product teams
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, aerospace engineering or a related field
  • Five years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, three years with a master’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Manufacturing engineering experience across NPI and production environments
  • Experience with machining, mechanical assembly, additive manufacturing or welding
  • Demonstrated DFM/DFA, manufacturing-readiness and structured problem-solving experience
  • Strong communication and technical project-leadership skills
  • Knowledge of GD&T, Lean, PFMEA, APQP or SPC preferred
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a government security clearance required

Experience with aerospace propulsion, rotating machinery, flight hardware, additive manufacturing, AS9100, LRIP or high-growth manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.
