Role Overview:

Are you a seasoned Purchasing Specialist with a knack for meticulous procurement and supplier management? This is your chance to shine! Join us in Duarte, CA, and contribute to the success of a pioneering aerospace company.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality control, to understand material and component requirements, ensuring timely procurement and delivery to meet production schedules.
• Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to ensure a reliable supply of materials while optimizing cost, quality, and delivery performance. Continuously assess market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and risk mitigation.
• Identify, research, and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiating terms, pricing, and contracts to build long-term supplier partnerships that align with company objectives and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, supplier information, and performance evaluations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing discrepancies, ensuring corrective actions are implemented when necessary.
• Assist in developing and managing procurement budgets, providing regular reports on spending, savings, and supplier performance metrics to support decision-making.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain, seeking opportunities to streamline processes and increase overall efficiency in collaboration with other departments.
• Stay updated on industry developments and emerging technologies that could impact procurement strategies, and make recommendations for process improvements or new sourcing opportunities.
• Contribute to sustainability and ethical sourcing efforts, ensuring materials are sourced in compliance with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards where applicable.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in procurement, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment, with a proven track record of successful supplier management and cost reduction.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to assess complex supply chain challenges and develop actionable solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (Not Required), ideally in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy in procurement records, documentation, and reporting.
• Experience with ISO 9001 standards and quality documentation is a plus, with a strong understanding of quality control processes in procurement.
• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.) is highly desirable, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
