Trucking Dispatcher - $23-$30 DOE

 

Our client, a trucking and transportation company in the Conroe area, is seeking a detail-oriented Dispatcher to coordinate driver dispatch and maintain accurate operational records. The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to manage multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced transportation environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Dispatch drivers and coordinate routes and loads to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries
• Communicate with drivers throughout their routes to relay schedules, load changes, and updates
• Perform data entry related to dispatch logs, load information, and driver records
• Maintain accurate and organized dispatch and operational records
• Troubleshoot and resolve scheduling conflicts, delays, and other operational issues
• Coordinate with drivers, customers, and internal staff to ensure smooth daily operations
• Monitor driver schedules and assist with load tracking and status updates
• Support additional administrative and back-office tasks as needed

 

Qualifications

• Previous dispatching experience required; trucking or transportation industry experience preferred
• Experience with PCS (trucking dispatch/TMS software) is required
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a high-volume environment
• Proficient in data entry with strong typing and computer skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
• 1+ years of experience in trucking dispatch or fleet operations
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and Hours of Service (HOS) rules is a plus
