Job Details

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Shipping & Receiving Associate for a long-term temporary assignment, starting ASAP and expected to continue through the end of the calendar year, with the possibility of extending into January.

This position is responsible for shipping, receiving, inventory, order fulfillment, and general warehouse duties. The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable using computer and inventory systems, and able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Punctuality is extremely important. Employees must arrive and be ready to work by 7AM each day and must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Verify products pulled for each order using scan technology
• Package orders using appropriate shipping and packaging materials to ensure safe shipment
• Process paperwork in preparation for manifesting
• Work with team members to unload incoming product shipments and sort products for stocking
• Stock products into designated aisle/bin locations
• Operate the shipping manifest system
• Review packing lists and shipping/handling instructions to ensure customer requests are completed correctly
• Separate manifested packages by freight carrier, including FedEx, UPS, and U.S. Mail
• Participate in semi-annual inventory by accurately counting assigned accessories and mainframes
• Complete special order requirements, including kits, batteries, and antenna swaps
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications / Requirements

• 1-2 years of warehouse shipping/receiving experience required
• Experience with inventory, barcode scanning, and shipping/manifest systems
• Familiarity with export shipping procedures and requirements
• Knowledge of major freight carriers and shipping options, with the ability to make shipping recommendations when requested
• Strong computer and data entry skills
• Ability to type 30-40 words per minute
• Ability to navigate, inquire, and enter information into E1
• Must be accurate, detail-oriented, and have strong follow-through
• May require a drug screening and criminal background
• Solid basic math skills
• Must have reliable transportation and excellent attendance/punctuality
• Must be able to arrive and be ready to work by 7AM
• Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. occasionally
• Ability to stand, lift, and move for extended periods
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed, particularly during the last two days of each month

Work Environment

This is a warehouse environment with varying temperatures depending on the climate, as well as exposure to exhaust fumes and noise from shipping trucks and other warehouse equipment. The position requires frequent standing, lifting, walking, and physical activity throughout the workday.

Reliable transportation, punctuality, and flexibility with overtime are essential for this position.
