Production Associate

Location: Swedesboro, NJ
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Schedule:

• Sunday: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Wednesday - Friday: 4:00 PM - 2:00 AM

Position Summary

The Production Associate is responsible for preparing raw materials for processing, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and supporting food safety and quality standards throughout the production process. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work efficiently in a manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Remove plastic and cardboard packaging from block butter products prior to processing.
• Move block butter or cocoa liquor into melting equipment by pushing materials safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift.
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of Food Safety and Quality Assurance programs.
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), SQF protocols, company policies, and food safety requirements.
• Participate in required food safety, quality, and operational training programs.
• Perform cleaning and sanitation duties, including mopping floors and cleaning designated production areas at the end of each shift.
• Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or quality deviations to supervisors promptly.
• Work cooperatively with team members to meet daily production goals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous manufacturing, food production, or warehouse experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety standards.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to push and move heavy materials throughout the shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and production conditions.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.
