Job Description

We are seeking professional, safety-conscious CDL Class A Flatbed Drivers on behalf of a premier freight and logistics client based in Grapevine, TX. Drivers will be responsible for picking up commercial tractor-trailers in Grapevine, transporting high-value IT infrastructure (server racks), and delivering them to client sites in Houston, TX, before returning the equipment back to the Grapevine yard.

This project begins as a dedicated temporary assignment starting August 26th at 1:00 PM. Due to a sustained increase in workload and route expansion, exceptional drivers have a strong likelihood of transitioning into long-term roles.

Estimated Trip Breakdown (11.5 – 12.5 Hours total)

• Grapevine to Houston Drive Time: ~4.25 – 4.5 hours (approx. 260 miles via I-45)

• On-Site Unloading & Securement Check: ~1.5 – 2 hours (unloading server racks safely)

• Houston to Grapevine Return Drive: ~4.25 – 4.5 hours

• Post-Trip Inspection & Yard Parking: ~0.5 hours

• Note: Drivers must monitor Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Hours of Service (HOS) regulations throughout the turn.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL Class A tractor-trailers with flatbed loads in full compliance with FMCSA and Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) regulations.

• Perform thorough Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections (DVIR) on vehicle, trailer, and tie-down equipment.

• Ensure proper load securement—including proper utilization of straps, chains, and edge protectors—to safely transport sensitive electronics and server equipment.

• Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records, driver logs, and delivery documentation (BOLs).

• Execute professional on-site customer service during offloading procedures in Houston.

Qualifications & Requirements

• License: Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

• Medical Card: Valid, unexpired DOT Medical Card (Mandatory to start).

• Driving Record: Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is a strict requirement (no major violations or preventable accidents).

• Experience: Proven experience operating flatbed trailers and managing heavy freight tie-down securement.

• Compliance: Complete understanding of FMCSA rules, cargo securement standards, and DOT safety guidelines.
