Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Sign Fabricator to join a successful custom sign manufacturer in Grand Island, NY!

This is an excellent temp-to-hire opportunity! 

 

Overview: This position involves the fabrication and assembly of custom aluminum signs using a variety of fabrication tools and equipment. Precision, craftsmanship, and the ability to follow technical drawings are essential.

 

Shift: Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm

Payrate: $20/hr

 

Responsibilities:

• Cut, shape, and fabricate aluminum components using appropriate fabrication equipment.
• Prepare materials for painting by sanding and using dual-action (D/A) sanders.
• Perform spot welding and other assembly techniques as required.
• Read and accurately interpret shop drawings and fabrication plans.
• Assemble sign components while maintaining tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
• Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Work closely with the Lead Fabricator, who will provide training, fabrication instructions, and drawing reviews.

 

Qualifications:

• Experience in metal fabrication, specifically aluminum.
• Ability to safely operate fabrication equipment, including cutting tools, D/A sanders, and spot welders.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing precise, high-quality work.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Willingness to learn and follow established fabrication procedures.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

 

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in sign manufacturing or architectural metal fabrication.
• Familiarity with fabrication techniques, metal finishing, and assembly processes.

*This is a metal fabrication position focused on aluminum sign production. It does not involve woodworking or carpentry, but the quality and skills carry over.
