Production Operator

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Pay: $17.40–$20.00/hour, depending on experience
Employment Type: Full-Time

We are looking for a dependable Production Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for operating production equipment, handling materials, performing quality checks, and following established safety and production procedures.

The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment, and able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.

What You'll Do:

  • Operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently according to established procedures.
  • Load and unload materials, components, and finished products as needed.
  • Monitor equipment and production processes and report issues or abnormalities to the supervisor.
  • Perform visual and in-process quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Identify, label, and separate defective or nonconforming materials.
  • Complete production records, count sheets, quality documentation, and system entries accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, PPE requirements, and work instructions.
  • Meet production schedules and quality standards while maintaining consistent work output.
  • Work cooperatively with supervisors, coworkers, and union representatives.
  • Participate in training, cross-training, and continuous improvement activities as assigned.
  • Perform other duties within the applicable job classification as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred:

  • Previous manufacturing or production experience.
  • Experience operating production equipment.
  • Basic inspection or measurement experience.
  • Experience working in a union manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
