Shipping & Receiving Associate

Full-time, Evaluation Hire opportunity

Location: Branford, CT

Pay rate: $18-20/hr

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm

We’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented professional to support shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse operations for both domestic and international orders.

What you’ll do:

• Support daily shipping and receiving operations for domestic and international orders.
• Prepare and process FedEx, UPS, and freight shipments accurately and efficiently.
• Complete and verify bills of lading, shipping documents, and customs forms.
• Safely load and unload trucks using forklifts, reach trucks, and electric pallet jacks.
• Inspect outgoing shipments for damage, accuracy, and compliance with company and carrier standards.
• Inspect incoming shipments to verify accuracy, quality, and alignment with purchase orders.
• Receive and enter incoming shipments into inventory as needed.
• Work closely with team members to ensure orders are fulfilled and distributed on time.
• Participate in inventory counts and help investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate, organized inventory and warehouse records.
• Follow all company safety policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Operate commercial vehicles to transport materials and goods between facilities and customer locations.

Qualifications:

• Must have an active Connecticut driver's license
• Previous experience operating a forklift
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, and logistics
• Previous experience with an ERP system
• Previous experience working with FedEx, UPS, and other freight carrier systems
• Ability to organize and maintain a warehouse
• Ability to work in a team environment safely and accurately
