Restoration Technician

Location: Waterloo, IA
Pay: $16.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:45 AM-5:00 PM
Type: Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals in Waterloo is seeking a Restoration Technician to join a local restoration team. This position is responsible for cleaning and restoring residential and commercial properties affected by fire, water, and sewage damage. The ideal candidate will be dependable, work well in a team environment, and be comfortable working in challenging situations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with fire, water, and sewage loss restoration projects
• Clean homes and buildings impacted by damage
• Remove debris, damaged materials, and contaminants
• Perform cleanup in new construction homes and other work sites
• Operate restoration equipment, including wet vacuums
• Follow instructions from supervisors and team leaders
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Support restoration projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• Ability to work in a team environment
• Positive attitude and willingness to take direction
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Previous restoration or cleaning experience is a plus, but not required

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as needed
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and kneeling
• Ability to work in environments affected by fire, water, or sewage damage
