Project Engineer

Location: Asheville, OH

Pay: $140,000 - $180,000/yr

The Project Engineer will provide critical support to the Senior Project Manager on large-scale, complex construction projects. This role will collaborate with estimating, engineering, procurement, fabrication, and field teams to support project planning, cost control, scheduling, and successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Project Manager with project planning, scope development, budgeting, and execution strategies.
• Collaborate with Estimating to develop project estimates, budgets, cost analyses, and ongoing cost forecasts.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, monitor milestones, and identify potential schedule risks.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project requirements and timelines are met.
• Assist with quality assurance, safety compliance, risk mitigation, change orders, and resolution of project issues.
• Prepare project status reports, cost tracking documents, performance metrics, meeting minutes, and other project documentation.
• Support contract administration by monitoring contract requirements, identifying potential issues, and escalating changes or disputes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in construction, estimating, project coordination, or project management.
• Strong understanding of construction industry practices, regulations, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Proficiency with project management and scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret estimates, budgets, cost reports, and project data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams.
• Ability to travel to project sites as needed
