Forklift Warehouse Operator

Responsible for safely operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move, load, unload, store, and transport materials throughout the warehouse and production areas. Supports shipping, receiving, inventory control, and general warehouse operations while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to load, unload, move, stack, and stage materials and products.
• Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders.
• Prepare and load outgoing shipments according to customer and company requirements.
• Transport materials to production, storage, and shipping areas as needed.
• Perform inventory counts and assist with inventory control activities.
• Inspect forklifts and equipment before use and report any maintenance issues.
• Maintain accurate records of materials moved and warehouse transactions.
• Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and OSHA regulations.
• Keep warehouse, storage areas, and workstations clean and organized.
• Assist with general warehouse duties, including packaging, labeling, and material handling.

• RF scanners/barcode readers

Skills

• Safe forklift operation and material handling.
• Shipping and receiving experience.
• Inventory control and cycle counting.
• Ability to read work orders, shipping documents, and inventory records.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials safely.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds or more as required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
