Position Summary

The Kitchen Manager oversees all kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, food safety compliance, efficient workflows, and effective staff leadership. This role is responsible for managing kitchen personnel, controlling food and labor costs, maintaining inventory, and delivering a consistent dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

Operations

• Oversee daily kitchen operations and food production.
• Ensure food quality, consistency, and timely service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen.
• Monitor kitchen equipment and coordinate repairs as needed.

Team Leadership

• Hire, train, schedule, and supervise kitchen staff.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching.

Inventory & Cost Control

• Order food, supplies, and equipment.
• Manage inventory levels and conduct regular counts.
• Control food waste and labor costs to meet budget goals.

Food Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all health, sanitation, and safety standards.
• Maintain proper food handling, storage, and labeling procedures.
• Enforce company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of kitchen management or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, safety, and sanitation practices.
• Experience with scheduling, inventory management, and cost control.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• ServSafe Manager Certification preferred.
