Front of House Manager / Marketing & Catering Coordinator

Reports To: General Manager / Owner
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

The Front of House Manager oversees daily dining room operations, leads front-of-house staff, ensures exceptional guest experiences, coordinates catering services, and supports restaurant marketing efforts. This role is responsible for driving customer satisfaction, increasing sales opportunities, and maintaining high hospitality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Guest Service

• Manage daily front-of-house operations and service standards.
• Ensure a welcoming, clean, and professional dining environment.
• Handle guest concerns and resolve issues effectively.
• Oversee opening/closing procedures and cash handling.

Team Leadership

• Hire, train, schedule, and supervise front-of-house staff.
• Coach team members on service excellence and restaurant standards.
• Promote accountability, teamwork, and employee development.

Catering Management

• Manage catering inquiries, bookings, and event coordination.
• Communicate event details with kitchen and service teams.
• Ensure successful execution of catering orders and client expectations.
• Build relationships with catering customers and community organizations.

Marketing & Sales Support

• Assist with marketing campaigns, promotions, and special events.
• Manage social media content and customer engagement.
• Monitor online reviews and maintain the restaurant's reputation.
• Support efforts to increase sales, catering revenue, and brand awareness.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of restaurant management or hospitality leadership experience.
• Strong customer service, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Experience with catering, event coordination, or sales preferred.
• Basic knowledge of social media and marketing platforms.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
