Express is seeking Industrial Painter candidates for our Reading area client! This is a bus line accessible position that offers room to grow and a fast paced environment!

Pay: $20.00-24.00/hour based upon experience

Shift: 1st shift (6AM-2:30PM) Monday-Friday - Plus Overtime - Also hiring for 2nd shift

Location: Reading, PA

 

Responsibilities of the Industrial Painter:

  • Knowledge of industrial materials.
  • Ability to demonstrate adherence to inventory protocol and other procedures.
  • Clean equipment and work areas and dispose of hazardous waste in an appropriate, legal manner.
  • Buff and wax completed paint work.
  • Set up portable equipment, such as ventilators, exhaust units, ladders, or scaffolding.
  • Apply primer over any repairs made to surfaces.
  • Polish materials, workpieces, or finished products.
  • Prepare surfaces for finishing.
  • Mix ingredients to create specific finishes.
  • Mix paints to color specifications or original colors, stirring or thinning paints using spatulas or power mixing equipment.
  • Remove grease, dirt, paint, or rust from surfaces in preparation for paint application, using abrasives, solvents, brushes, blowtorches, washing tanks, or sandblasters.
  • Sand and apply sealer to properly dried finish.
  • Apply protective or decorative finishes to workpieces or products.
  • Operate painting or coating equipment.

Qualifications of the Industrial Painter:

  • Previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Experience with the automotive field is a huge plus!
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Advanced understanding and use of power tools, as well as manufacturing tools such as sanders
  • Ability to use a Dual Action (DA) sander.
