Tire Service Tech

A local tire shop is looking for a tire technician.
Job Duties:
Operate computerized polyurethane foam-filling machines to inject liquid urethane into the tire cavity, displacing all air to create a puncture-proof assembly.
Equipment Maintenance: Maintain, start up, and shut down foaming equipment, including cleaning pumps and hoses to prevent material hardening.
Tire Service & Repair: Mount, dismount, and press solid or pneumatic industrial tires using hydraulic heavy-duty tire presses.
Calculations: Monitor fill weights, pressures, and chemical ratios on job cards to ensure proper fill density.
Curing & Drilling: Drill pressure-relief holes in tires to release trapped air and oversee the 24-48 hour curing process to ensure foam solidifies perfectly.
Mobile & In-Shop Operations: Service tires both inside the commercial shop and at customer job sites using mobile service box trucks equipped with onboard tire presses.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to regularly lift, push, and maneuver heavy industrial tires, routinely handling 50 to 100+ pounds
Equipment Used:
Safety & PPE: Strict adherence to safety protocols, requiring the use of protective personal equipment (PPE) such as face shields, aprons, protective sleeves, and heavy-duty rubber gloves to handle chemicals.
Full Time Evaluation Hire Position
M-F 8:00 am-5:00 pm
$17.00 / hour
