Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable Shipping Warehouse Associate to join a large, established furniture distribution operation in Lakeland, FL. This position supports outbound shipping by safely handling, staging, preparing, and loading furniture and merchandise for delivery. The ideal candidate is comfortable with physical warehouse work, works well as part of a team, and understands the importance of accuracy and careful product handling.

Essential Duties

• Pull and prepare furniture and merchandise for outbound shipments.
• Verify products and quantities against shipping documentation.
• Safely load merchandise onto trucks and trailers according to shipping requirements.
• Handle furniture carefully to prevent damage during movement and loading.
• Assist with wrapping, securing, labeling, and preparing merchandise for shipment.
• Maintain organized staging and shipping areas.
• Follow established warehouse and material-handling procedures.
• Inspect merchandise for visible damage and report concerns to supervision.
• Meet daily productivity and shipping goals while maintaining accuracy.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned.

Minimum Knowledge & Skills

• Previous warehouse, shipping, material-handling, or distribution experience preferred.
• Ability to safely handle large and bulky merchandise.
• Ability to follow shipping paperwork and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Safety-conscious and able to follow established procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform repetitive lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to safely handle large and bulky furniture.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequently bend, reach, stoop, and squat.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse/distribution environment.
