Job Overview

Express Pros Canton is currently hiring an Intake & Dispatch Coordinator for a local transportation services company in the Akron area.

This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys helping people, staying organized, and working in a busy office environment. The Intake & Dispatch Coordinator helps schedule transportation trips, communicates with drivers and clients, and assists with administrative and billing-related tasks.

Schedule

• Full-Time and Part-Time positions available
• Monday through Friday
• Business hours between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM
• Hours may vary

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers, brokers, and facilities
• Schedule and coordinate transportation trips
• Communicate trip information with drivers
• Enter and update information in company databases
• Review trip information for accuracy
• Assist with billing and data entry tasks
• Track information using Excel spreadsheets
• Maintain organized electronic and paper files
• Help resolve scheduling issues as they arise
• Assist management with various office projects and administrative duties

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous office, customer service, dispatch, scheduling, or administrative experience preferred
• Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365 skills, including:
  • Outlook
  • Word
  • Excel
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable and professional attitude

Preferred Experience

• Dispatching or transportation industry experience
• Experience with RoutingBox or similar software
• Familiarity with Connecteam
• Data entry or billing experience
