Our Scarborough client, an established company specializing in instrumentation and Hygiene Monitoring Systems, is looking for a Technical Sales Associate to join their team!

Responsibilities:

• Provide sales and customer support for the product portfolio (laboratory, diagnostic, monitoring, and quality control solutions)
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while developing new business opportunities
• Prepare quotations, proposals, sales presentations, and supporting documentation
• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently with a high level of customer satisfaction
• Support marketing initiatives and business development efforts
• Generate and qualify leads through prospecting and customer engagement
• Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity within company systems
• Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels
• Conduct customer outreach, follow-up calls, and telephone surveys to identify sales opportunities and gather market feedback
• Develop a strong understanding of company products, applications, and industry-specific solutions
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and new product developments
• Participate in training programs to expand technical and product knowledge
• Perform other tasks that may be assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Sales and Business Development
• Experience with a Technical, Scientific, Microbiology, Life Sciences, Laboratory, Biotechnology, or related educational background and/or work experience
• Strong interest in scientific products, technology, and technical solutions
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Bonus Qualifications:

• Familiarity with technical, scientific, or regulated industries – HACCP, food safety, or monitoring systems (asset)
• Experience with CRM software and sales tracking systems
• Existing contacts within scientific, laboratory, manufacturing, or healthcare industries

Compensation and Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 8:00am to 5:00pm
• Salary: $65,000 per annum + Commission
