Dental Assistant

Salary: $18-$22/hour

Express Employment in Platteville, WI has partnered with a company to recruit candidates for Dental Assistant positions. They are currently hiring for openings at both their Platteville and Dubuque locations.

Position Summary:
The Dental Assistant supports the dentist during patient exams and procedures while providing quality patient care and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.

Job Duties:

• Prepare patients and treatment areas for procedures.
• Assist the dentist chairside during exams and procedures.
• Set up, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
• Take dental X-rays and record patient information.
• Take medical and dental histories and vital signs.
• Prepare dental materials and impressions as needed.
• Assist with nitrous oxide and anesthesia procedures.
• Provide patients with oral hygiene instructions.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
• Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and office safety procedures.
• Maintain CPR and required certifications.
• Provide professional, friendly, and compassionate patient service.
• Perform equipment maintenance and other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Diploma or certificate from an approved dental assisting program
• Two years of dental experience preferred

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Completion of an approved Radiography Course
• Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months
• Current EKG and anesthesia training or willingness to complete within 1 year
• Ability to make critical decisions and use good judgment
• Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
