Hours: Monday - Thursday, 6:30am - 4:30pm

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00/HR

Duties:

Grind, sand, deburr, polish, and finish metal parts using hand tools and power tools.
Remove sharp edges, weld spatter, scratches, burrs, and other surface imperfections to meet quality standards.
Inspect finished parts visually and physically to identify defects such as dents, scratches, cracks, or uneven surfaces.
Verify that finished products meet customer, engineering, and production requirements before moving to the next stage of manufacturing.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work orders, and production instructions to determine finishing requirements.
Operate grinders, sanders, polishers, and other finishing equipment safely and effectively.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Clean, inspect, and properly store tools and equipment after use.
Work closely with production, welding, and fabrication teams to ensure quality and on-time completion of work.
Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications:

Previous metal finishing, grinding, polishing, fabrication, welding support, or manufacturing experience preferred.
Experience using hand tools, power tools, grinders, sanders, and polishing equipment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finished products.
Ability to identify surface defects and perform corrective finishing work.
Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality standards and production deadlines.
Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Ability to stand for extended periods, often 8+ hours per shift.
Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, and handle metal components throughout the day.
Ability to use hand, arm, and shoulder strength for repetitive finishing tasks.
