Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, servicing, troubleshooting, testing, and repairing fire alarm and life-safety systems. This is a great opportunity for a skilled technician looking for steady work and competitive pay based on experience.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair fire alarm systems and related life-safety equipment.
• Perform inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
• Diagnose electrical and system issues and make necessary repairs.
• Install and terminate wiring, devices, panels, modules, and notification appliances.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and system drawings.
• Perform system programming and troubleshooting when required.
• Maintain accurate service and inspection documentation.
• Communicate professionally with customers and explain system issues and repairs.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures, fire codes, and company standards.
• Work independently while also supporting a team of technicians on larger projects.

Qualifications

• Previous professional experience as a Fire Alarm Technician required.
• Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, components, wiring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with installation, inspection, testing, and repair.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work safely on ladders and lift equipment and perform physical work as needed.
