Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Purchasing Agent to lead sourcing, procurement, and supplier management initiatives. This strategic role is responsible for ensuring a reliable supply chain, developing strong vendor partnerships, negotiating favorable contracts, and driving purchasing efficiencies that support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to secure cost-effective, high-quality materials and services
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and optimal performance
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, terms, and service agreements with vendors
  • Monitor market conditions, supplier performance, and industry trends to identify risks and opportunities
  • Analyze purchasing data and spending patterns to support informed procurement decisions
  • Lead purchasing projects, cost-reduction initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Collaborate with operations, production, quality, and leadership teams to support organizational goals
  • Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and industry regulations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 8+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and complex procurement projects
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment required
  • cGMP manufacturing experience preferred
