Material Handler / Forklift Operator

Location: Oakville, ON

 

A well-established and growing distribution company in Oakville is seeking a dependable and motivated Material Handler / Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional who has hands-on experience operating Raymond Reach forklifts, is comfortable using warehouse management systems, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review production schedules and customer orders to ensure timely fulfillment
• Accurately pick, prepare, and verify orders for shipment
• Operate Raymond Reach forklifts for order picking, replenishment, and put-away activities
• Utilize RF scanners to complete order picking and inventory transactions
• Assemble, palletize, label, and stage shipments for delivery
• Conduct daily forklift and equipment inspections to ensure safe operation
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
• Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse duties as assigned
• Follow all company safety procedures and operational standards

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating a Raymond Reach forklift
• Valid forklift certification required
• Scissor lift certification and experience considered a strong asset
• Experience using RF scanners, SAP, and/or warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Ability to safely lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check
