Feed Mill Operator

Location: Waterloo, IA
Pay: $20.00/hour
Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday, 11:00 AM-10:00 PM
Type: Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals in Waterloo is seeking a Feed Mill Operator to join a local agricultural team. This position is responsible for feed production, load out operations, truck dispatching, quality control, ingredient receiving, equipment maintenance, and record keeping. The ideal candidate will have agricultural experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mix and prepare livestock feeds while ensuring quality and accuracy
• Maintain production records and documentation to meet FDA and FSMA requirements
• Route and distribute manufactured feed to appropriate storage bins and delivery trucks
• Coordinate feed deliveries and assist with daily mill operations
• Plan and perform equipment maintenance, housekeeping, and repairs
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
• Monitor feed production processes and quality standards
• Follow all safety procedures and operational guidelines

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of agricultural experience required
• High School Diploma or GED strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to follow production and safety procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to climb ladders
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, and work in a production environment throughout the shift
