Maintenance Technician

Position Summary
Seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance and repairs in an apartment community. The ideal candidate will have experience troubleshooting maintenance issues, completing work orders, and maintaining a safe and clean environment for residents.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests and work orders in a timely manner.
• Perform basic repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, and carpentry.
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine appropriate repairs.
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents, including painting, cleaning, and minor renovations.
• Replace light fixtures, outlets, faucets, locks, and appliances as needed.
• Conduct preventative maintenance throughout the property.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and building exteriors.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with emergency maintenance calls when required.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work orders.

Requirements

• Previous maintenance, handyman, construction, or apartment maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve maintenance issues independently.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.

Preferred Qualifications

• EPA Certification (a plus)
• HVAC experience (a plus)
• Apartment turn/make-ready experience
• CPO Certification (a plus)
