Maintenance Technician

Salary: $25-$28/hr

Maintenance Technician Job Summary:

A growing automotive manufacturer in Grand Rapids is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. The Maintenance Technician will maintain production equipment via mechanical and electrical troubleshooting as well as equipment installation and repair.  

                                                                                            

Maintenance Technician Requirements:

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment
• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production CNC machines and the plant facility’s equipment
• Follow predictive and preventive maintenance plans
• Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production
• Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production CNC machines
• Read and interpret manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Familiar with GCode/ MCode programming
• Experience with FANUC controls, experience with robotics and automation using universal and IBB Robots
• Diagnose problems, replace and repair parts, test and adjust as needed
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities
• Update employees and team on the status of requested maintenance support.

 

Schedule:

2nd shift, Monday-Thursday, and OT on Fridays 5:30pm-5:00am. 

Pay:

 $25-28/hr based on experience, $.50 shift premium

 

Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

• HS diploma or GED
• 3 or more years of robotics and automation maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds frequently
• Strong working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, as well as mechanical and electrical maintenance
