HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER

Salary: $90,000 - $115,000 DOE
The purpose of this role is to plan, coordinate, lead, and advise on all HR matters across the company; supporting three different company locations in Oregon and California. This role is responsible for leading HR operations, overseeing employee relations, managing full-cycle recruitment and onboarding, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines, and aligning HR initiatives with organizational goals. This position works closely with the executive and ownership teams on strategic workforce planning and development. This in an onsite position located in McMinnville, Oregon with occasional travel requirements to Boring, OR and Cloverdale, CA.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, implement, and update HR strategies and initiatives as necessary to align with the overall business strategy.
- Ensure the company’s compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
- Oversee employee relations by supporting leaders on performance management, corrective actions, coaching, and performance improvement plans within their teams.
- Manage and administer the company’s compensation and benefits strategy and plans.
- Oversee processed changes and maintain personnel-related data and employment records in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and electronic files in accordance with state, federal, and company recordkeeping requirements.
- Ensure the company’s compliance with applicable local, state, and federal safety laws, regulations, and best practices in preventing workplace injury through: participating in the company’s safety committee, maintaining written safety programs, scheduling and facilitating annual trainings, interfacing with safety consultants and workers compensation companies.
- Manage and oversee the recruitment and selection process including sourcing, screening, interviewing, selecting, hiring, and onboarding. Coaching leaders on candidate selection.
- Support team leaders in the development and delivery of strategic workforce development plans to fit with the overall business goals and vision.
- Identify and recommend areas of improvement to internal standard operating procedures, including team restructuring and morale.
- Provide day-to-day direction, guidance, and coaching to other HR team personnel.
- Oversee the company’s training and development strategy, program, and monitor effectiveness.
- Oversee and ensure accurate timekeeping, record retention, and payroll processing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience required; at least 3 years in a senior role
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred, PHR/ SPHR certification is preferred
- Ability to communicate in English/ Spanish bilingual is preferred
- Must have excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office and HRIS (Paycom preferred)
- Extensive knowledge of employment and labor laws, applicable state and federal laws, and HR best practices
- Excellent understanding of confidentiality and workplace privacy laws and best practices
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with team members
- Experience in educating and coaching employees
- Ability to give presentations and comfortability with public speaking
- Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations
- Effective leadership skills, modeling a collaborative mindset
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment, as well as independently
- Lumber and/or manufacturing background preferred
