MIG/TIG Welder

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
Status: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled MIG/TIG Welder to join a growing manufacturing team. In this role, you will perform high-quality welding on sheet metal components using MIG and TIG welding techniques. The ideal candidate will be experienced in blueprint reading, part fabrication, and producing precise welds that meet strict quality and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of sheet metal components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and engineering drawings.
  • Prepare materials by cleaning, grinding, fitting, and aligning parts prior to welding.
  • Inspect finished welds for accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications.
  • Use measuring tools and visual inspections to ensure workmanship standards are met.
  • Maintain welding equipment, tools, and fixtures in proper working condition.
  • Follow established safety procedures, quality standards, and welding processes.
  • Complete production records and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
  • Operate fabrication equipment and tools as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills.

Preferred

  • Minimum of 2 years of welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Experience welding thin-gauge sheet metal using MIG and TIG processes.
  • Knowledge of metal properties and proper heat control techniques to minimize warping and weld defects.
  • Familiarity with fabrication tools, equipment, safety procedures, and quality standards. 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel throughout the workday.
  • Manual dexterity to safely handle materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Regularly lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to read blueprints and inspect finished products for quality.
  • Ability to work around moving mechanical equipment while maintaining safety awareness.
  • Must be able to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, steel-toe footwear, and high-visibility gear as required.
