Skills and Experience Requirements
• Current forklift certification• Ability to operate a forklift safely and precisely• Ability to follow work instructions and safety procedures• Good visual awareness and coordination• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers• Ability to work accurately in a material-handling environment
Job Responsibilities
• Operate a forklift to move and position materials• Load, unload, transport, and stack materials as directed• Inspect the forklift and materials before operation• Position materials in designated storage or work areas• Secure and handle loads safely during transportation• Monitor surroundings and maintain safe operating practices
