SMALL ENGINE MECHANIC - ASCENSION PARISH- B733

 

 $18-20/hr

 

Our client is looking for a reliable, mechanically inclined Small Engine Mechanic to maintain and repair there clients fleet of gas and diesel golf carts/buggies, along with the companies own fleet of light-duty  company vehicles (preventative maintenance), and small power tools.  We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work. Do you have a valid TWIC? If you have the right experience, attitude and are ready to work - we want you to call us! 

 What will you be doing?

• Diagnose, adjust, and repair gas and diesel engines on utility and golf carts.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance (oil changes, brake checks, fluid replacements) on light-duty company trucks and vehicles.
• Troubleshoot and repair small hand and power tools.
• Keep an accurate inventory of parts, maintain a clean and safe workspace, and document all service records.
• Other duties as assigned

Experience, skills, and qualities that will put you at the top of the list for consideration includes:

• Valid TWIC card required (or ability to acquire).
• Proven experience working on small gas an diesel engines.
• Basic understanding of automotive systems for light-duty vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose electrical and mechanical issues across various equipment types.
• Own basic set of mechanical tools. (client willing to provide additional tools as needed)
• Able to safely lift up to 50lbs.
• Good listening skills and able to follow instructions
• Commitment to safety
• Reliable transportation with a commitment to being at work for all scheduled shifts, and willing to stay until the job is finished
• Drug free
