Flexographic Print Press Operator
Sets up and operates the printing press that meets production / customer specifications to produce quality printed products.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Operates printing press including, removing and installing dies, cylinders, ink containers and paper, and printed rolls per job order. Makes adjustments in speed, tension, ink, viscosities, etc.
· Maintains a clean work area
· Completes 'On Press Checklist' and receives written approval from Supervisor or quality control.
· Monitors press constantly during operation and makes any necessary adjustments to maintain quality
· Maintains quality according to customer specifications
· Maintains Press and conducts assigned preventative maintenance actions
· Contributes to a team effort by proactively assisting internal contacts
· Attends training programs to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills
· All other duties assigned by immediate supervisor on an as needed basis
· Experience with Flexographic, Roto Gravure, Offset, and/or digital printing press operation preferred
· Basic computer skills to enter and maintain accurate data on the flex computer system.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
· Ability to handle multiple tasks with varying deadlines
· Ability to work with extremely confidential information/situations and maintain confidentiality
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
· Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and all levels of management
· Ability to work as part of a team with others to meet business requirements
· Must possess attention to detail
Will require first shift training prior to moving to third shift.
Pay rate: $19.50 -$25.40 depending on experience. Includes a quarterly bonus.
