Material Handler (Temp-to-Hire)

A premier North American supplier and distributor of raw materials, alloys, and melting inputs for the ferrous foundry and steel industries is seeking dependable Material Handlers to join its Lemont, Illinois operation. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with excellent long-term career potential, competitive benefits upon hire, and opportunities for pay increases.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• 1-hour unpaid lunch (11:00 AM to 12:00 PM)
• No weekends required

Pay

• Starting pay: $20.00 per hour
• Pay increase upon permanent hire

Job Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor automated packaging equipment
• Package graphite and carbon products into:
  • 50 lb bags
  • 2,000 lb super sacks
• Perform material handling and production support duties
• Ensure products are packaged accurately and safely
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Assist with general housekeeping and facility upkeep
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Work Environment

• Industrial manufacturing and packaging facility
• Dusty, heavy-soil environment due to graphite and carbon products
• Physical role requiring regular lifting and movement of materials

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently
• Steel-toe boots required
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Forklift experience is a plus but not required
• Comfortable working in an industrial environment

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Onsite facility walkthrough required prior to starting
• 7-year background check required
• No drug test required
