Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour, based on experience

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Preventive Maintenance Mechanic to join our maintenance team in North Charleston. This position is responsible for performing scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting the overall reliability and efficiency of manufacturing and production equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience with industrial machinery, and a proactive approach to equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment according to established schedules.
• Inspect equipment for wear, damage, or potential failures and make recommendations for repairs.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues.
• Repair or replace defective components to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders as required.
• Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
• Keep tools, work areas, and maintenance shops clean and organized.
• Collaborate with production and operations personnel to address equipment concerns and improve performance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Preventive Maintenance Mechanic, Maintenance Technician, Industrial Mechanic, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, conveyors, motors, and related equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance procedures.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment.
• Basic electrical knowledge is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in an industrial environment.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
