Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently hiring for a Maintenance Electrician

 

Overview:

 

Job Summary: Oversee, layout, and execute residential and light commercial electrical installations, diagnostics, and repairs. Lead on-site crews or work independently on high-level service calls, ensuring all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and company safety standards. 

 

• Field Leadership: Direct the daily tasks of helper and apprentice electricians, validating the quality and speed of their work.
• Installation & Layout: Read blueprints, structural schematics, and wiring diagrams to layout commercial conduit runs, panel completions, and control wiring.
• Advanced Troubleshooting: Diagnose complex residential and commercial electrical failures, generator transfer switch issues, and commercial motor controls.
• Material Management: Anticipate job-site needs, track inventory on the service truck, and communicate with the shop to requisition materials before project delays occur.
• Customer Relations: Serve as the professional face of the company on-site, explaining repairs to homeowners or clarifying project scopes with commercial clients. 

• Experience: 10+ years of active field experience in residential and commercial electrical trades.
• Licensing: State of Louisiana Journeyman license preferred (or local parish equivalent certifications).
• Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in conduit bending (EMT/Rigid), heavy service panel upgrades, smart lighting controls, and standby generator systems.
• Certifications: OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 safety certification a plus.
• Requirements: Clean driving record for operating company service vehicles. 

 

 

Pay: $31.00 - 41.00/hr (DOE)
