Trailer Mechanic

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Trailer Mechanic to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial trailers and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect trailers to identify mechanical and safety issues.
• Repair and maintain trailer brakes, suspension, axles, wheels, and lighting systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and air systems.
• Repair doors, floors, landing gear, and other trailer components.
• Replace worn or damaged parts and components.
• Perform welding and fabrication repairs when needed.
• Complete maintenance records and service documentation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and DOT requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous trailer, diesel, fleet, or heavy equipment repair experience preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial trailer systems and components.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical problems.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
