Position SummaryWe are seeking a dependable, hands-on Evening Shift Manufacturing Supervisor to lead our second shift production team. This position is responsible for supervising approximately 15 employees, ensuring production goals are met safely and efficiently, and maintaining high standards of quality and customer service.The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, enjoys solving problems, and is willing to work alongside the team when needed.Schedule & Overtime * Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM * Overtime is required as business needs dictate. * Overtime is not consistent throughout the year but is more common during our busy fall season. On Monday-Thursday shift, overtime would be a half day on FridaysKey Responsibilities * Supervise, coach, and train a team of approximately 15 manufacturing employees to start * The 2nd shift supervisor will need to do physical labor such as shipping and fork truck * Monitor daily production to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are achieved. * Identify production issues quickly and proactively implement solutions to minimize downtime. * Troubleshoot equipment, workflow, and production challenges while coordinating with other departments as needed. * Maintain a safe and organized work environment by enforcing company policies and safety procedures. * Schedule work assignments and monitor employee performance throughout the shift. * Assist with employee onboarding and ongoing training to develop a highly skilled team. * Support continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and reduce waste. * Work alongside the production team as needed to ensure customer orders are completed on time. * Prepare and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring shipping deadlines are met. * Maintain clear communication with day shift leadership to ensure a smooth transition between shifts.QualificationsRequired * Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. * Experience leading and developing production employees. * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. * Excellent organizational and communication skills. * Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. * Willingness to work overtime during peak production periods. * Ability to perform physical job duties in a manufacturing environment, including standing, walking, and lifting as required.Preferred * Experience with shipping and logistics operations. * Experience working in custom manufacturing or packaging environments. * Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience. * Bilingual is a plus What We're Looking ForThe successful candidate will be: * A strong leader who leads by example. * Proactive in identifying and solving problems before they become larger issues. * Comfortable making decisions independently. * Focused on developing employees through coaching and training. * Flexible and willing to assist wherever needed to meet production goals. * Committed to delivering quality products while maintaining a safe workplace.
