Maintenance Technician I

A company in Holden is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to assist with equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and facility support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude who enjoys working with tools, equipment, and hands-on projects in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Pay:

• $21-$25 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Assist with equipment repairs and troubleshooting
• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment
• Clean, lubricate, and complete routine maintenance tasks
• Work on electrical, hydraulic, and heavy equipment systems
• Support welding and basic fabrication projects
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical documents
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic equipment
• Assist with general facility maintenance and improvement projects
• Maintain safety, quality, housekeeping, and production standards
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of work experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Automotive and industrial mechanical skills
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and self-motivated work ethic

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with heavy equipment maintenance or operation
• Welding and fabrication experience
• General carpentry skills, including use of table saws, miter saws, and circular saws
• OSHA certifications
• Electrical experience
• Experience using hand tools, electric tools, and pneumatic impacts

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
• Ability to work around industrial equipment and machinery
• Ability to safely use tools and maintenance equipment throughout the shift
