Express Employment Professionals is working with a local company and is looking to hire a fence installer.   The Fence Installer Helper is an entry-level position designed for hard-working individuals looking to start a career in the skilled trades. In this role, you will work alongside experienced Installers and Crew Leaders, providing the physical labor and support needed to build residential and commercial fences. No prior fencing experience is required—we will train candidates who have a strong work ethic, reliable attendance, and a willingness to learn.

Hours and Wages - $20 with no experience - willing to pay more with experience

7A -5P Monday-Friday

Key Responsibilities
1. Site Preparation & Material Handling
Load and unload tools, concrete, lumber, metal, and heavy equipment onto trucks and trailers each morning.
Clear brush, rocks, debris, and old fencing materials from project lines to prepare the work area.
Stage fencing panels, posts, and hardware around the job site so skilled installers have quick access to materials.
2. Digging & Concrete Work
Manually dig post holes using post-hole diggers and digging bars, or assist with operating power augers.
Mix, transport, and pour concrete into post holes around set posts to ensure a solid foundation.
Help set posts, holding them plumb and level while concrete cures.
3. Installation Support & Job Site Care
Assist with holding, leveling, and securing fence pickets, rails, wire mesh, and panels.
Pass tools and materials to senior installers and maintain an organized, hazard-free workspace.
Perform thorough job site cleanup upon project completion, including raking dirt, packing up tools, and loading debris onto haul-off trucks.
4. Equipment Maintenance & Safety
Clean, maintain, and properly store all hand tools, power tools, and machinery at the end of each workday.
Follow all company safety guidelines and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required.

 

Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: No prior fence installation experience required (general construction, landscaping, or outdoor labor experience is a plus).
Physical Demands: Ability to perform heavy physical labor, digging, bending, and standing for 8–10 hours per day.
Work Environment: Willingness to work outdoors in variable weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
Reliability: Punctual with dependable transportation to get to the main shop or job sites on time every day.
Mindset: Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to follow verbal instructions from senior crew members
