Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate technical projects across product development, software development, and electrical/electronic systems. This position will manage projects throughout the full development lifecycle, from initial concept and requirements through prototyping, testing, validation, and product launch.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on project management experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams and a strong understanding of how hardware, software, and electrical circuit development come together within a product development environment.

This is an in-person, direct-hire position with no direct reports. The Project Manager will lead projects through cross-functional collaboration and influence rather than formal people management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate product development projects from concept through launch.
  • Manage projects involving hardware/product development, software development, and electrical/electronic circuit development.
  • Partner closely with engineering, software, product management, and other technical stakeholders to establish project requirements, deliverables, milestones, and timelines.
  • Translate technical requirements into actionable project plans and clearly defined workstreams.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, tracking progress, dependencies, critical paths, and project risks.
  • Coordinate resources across multidisciplinary engineering and development teams.
  • Facilitate communication between hardware, software, electrical, and product stakeholders to ensure development activities remain aligned.
  • Track project budgets, expenses, and other project-related costs.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, testing laboratories, and technical partners as needed.
  • Support product certification, compliance, environmental, durability, and third-party testing activities.
  • Identify project risks and roadblocks, develop mitigation plans, and communicate issues to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Coordinate product launch readiness, documentation, testing, and cross-functional deliverables.
  • Prepare project status reports and facilitate project meetings, design reviews, milestone reviews, and stakeholder updates.
  • Drive accountability for project deliverables while working effectively in a matrixed environment without direct supervisory responsibility.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of project management experience in technical product development or engineering environments.
  • Demonstrated project management experience involving product development and new product introduction (NPI).
  • Experience managing or coordinating software development projects or software components within a larger product development lifecycle.
  • Experience working with electrical/electronic engineering teams and projects involving electrical circuits, circuit boards, electronics, or related systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multidisciplinary engineering projects from concept through launch.
  • Experience developing project schedules, tracking dependencies, forecasting resources, and managing technical and financial project components.
  • Understanding of product development stages, including requirements definition, prototyping, design, testing, validation, and release.
  • Experience identifying, tracking, and mitigating technical and schedule risks.
  • Ability to coordinate engineering resources and competing project priorities.
  • Experience working with external vendors, suppliers, testing laboratories, or technical partners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and technical workstreams simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credential.
  • Experience managing projects that integrate hardware, embedded or application software, and electrical/electronic circuits into a finished product.
  • Experience with electrical/electronic systems, instrumentation, circuit boards, or other technically complex products.
  • Familiarity with product certification and regulatory compliance processes such as CE and FCC.
  • Experience with environmental, durability, shock, vibration, or third-party compliance testing.
  • Experience working within an engineering, R&D, or new product development organization.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)
  • Health insurance
  • Dental insurance
  • Vision insurance
