Part-Time Spanish & English Teacher

Location: Kodak, TN
Schedule: Part-Time — 15 Hours Per Week
Pay: $27 per hour

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Spanish & English Teacher to provide engaging language instruction in Kodak, Tennessee. The ideal candidate is fluent or highly proficient in both Spanish and English and has the ability to develop effective lesson plans and confidently lead classes in both languages.

Position Overview

The Part-Time Spanish & English Teacher will be responsible for planning and conducting engaging classes designed to build students' confidence and proficiency in both English and Spanish.

This position is ideal for an educator who enjoys working with students, developing creative lessons, and creating a positive and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Create structured, age-appropriate lesson plans for both English and Spanish classes
• Conduct engaging and interactive classes in English and Spanish
• Teach language skills including vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension
• Adapt lessons to accommodate different learning styles and skill levels
• Prepare instructional materials and classroom activities
• Monitor student participation and progress
• Provide encouragement, feedback, and additional support when needed
• Maintain a positive, respectful, and engaging classroom environment
• Communicate effectively with students and, when applicable, parents or guardians
• Arrive prepared and on time for all scheduled classes

Qualifications

• Fluent or highly proficient in both Spanish and English
• Previous teaching, tutoring, or classroom experience preferred
• Strong ability to create organized and effective lesson plans
• Confident public speaking and classroom presentation skills
• Ability to teach both English and Spanish effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient, enthusiastic, dependable, and organized
• Comfortable working independently and managing classroom activities
• A passion for language education and helping students succeed

Compensation & Schedule

• $27/hour
• 15 hours per week
• Part-time position
• Schedule to be coordinated based on program and class needs
• Located in Kodak, TN
