Ready Mix Truck Driver

Location: Longview, TX Area (Multiple Locations)
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $40,000 - $60,000 per year
Pay Frequency: Weekly

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Ready Mix Truck Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for operating a concrete mixer truck and delivering ready-mix concrete to customer job sites throughout the Longview area. Experience is preferred but not required, and training may be provided for qualified candidates.

This is a local driving position with no long-haul travel required. Work schedules vary based on business needs, and applicants should be prepared to work most Saturdays. Candidates must be able to pass a drug screening, maintain a safe driving record, and operate all equipment in compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely operate a ready-mix concrete truck in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Conduct daily preventative maintenance inspections, including fueling, cleaning, checking fluids, and inspecting tires and lights.
• Perform and document pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Change flat tires when necessary.
• Assist maintenance personnel and mechanics with repairs as needed.
• Ensure delivery tickets are completed accurately and returned with required customer signatures.
• Exercise sound judgment while operating equipment and unloading materials at job sites.
• Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service.
• Assist with training and mentoring new employees when requested.
• Demonstrate knowledge of OSHA, DOT, EPA, and other applicable regulations.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Ability to maintain DOT qualifications.
• Safe driving record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Preferred

• One year of commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating a concrete mixer truck or similar equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, balance, reach, push, and pull.
• Capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry objects of varying sizes and weights.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather and environmental conditions.

Schedule

• Day Shift
• Monday through Friday
• Weekends as Needed
• 8-Hour, 10-Hour, and 12-Hour Shifts
• Overnight Shifts May Be Required
