1st shift Shop Helper

Located in Wixom, MI

Salary: $17 per hour

We have partnered with a local company that provided engineering and manufacturing services for aerospace, automotive, and defense industries.

 

Summary:

 

We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Shop Assistant. Previous experience in a shop or warehouse setting.  Forklift operation experience (or willingness to learn).  Basic knowledge of shop tools and equipment.

 

 

Responsibilities:

• Assist with maintaining a clean and organized shop environment
• Operate forklifts as needed for moving materials and equipment
• Provide support to coworkers by assisting with tasks and projects
• Perform general maintenance, including emptying garbage cans and keeping work areas tidy
• Use a tape measure and other tools accurately for basic tasks
• Assist in lifting and carrying items, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Follow instructions and complete tasks as directed by supervisors or team leads
• Some mechanical inclination and a basic understanding of tools
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately
• Willingness to do whatever is asked to support the team and maintain a clean and organized shop
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Steel Toe Boots required
• Comfortable with physical tasks, including moving and cleaning around the shop

Schedule: Monday - Friday 07:00am - 3:30pm
