Are you outgoing, energetic and marketing-minded? Do you love meeting people, building relationships and finding creative ways to get people engaged?

We’re looking for a Recruitment & Community Engagement Specialist to become the face of Express Employment Professionals throughout Guelph and the surrounding community.

This is not a sit-at-your-desk-and-wait-for-applications job.

Your mission is to create candidate flow, fill interview appointments and make Express impossible to miss in the community.

You’ll be making calls, attending events, building partnerships, using social media and finding creative new ways to connect with people looking for work.

What You’ll Do

• Make approximately 50 outbound calls daily to connect with potential candidates
• Source candidates through phone, text, email, social media, referrals and community outreach
• Schedule qualified candidates for interviews and keep the interview calendar full
• Reconnect with previous applicants and former associates
• Attend job fairs, hiring events and community events
• Build relationships with schools, employment agencies, community organizations, newcomer groups and local businesses
• Create grassroots recruiting campaigns and pop-up recruiting opportunities
• Host and support recruitment events
• Promote Express and current job opportunities through social media and community marketing
• Develop creative ways to “paint the town Express blue”
• Run our Associate of the Month recognition program
• Track what recruiting activities generate the best results

The Person We’re Looking For

You are:

• Energetic, outgoing and naturally comfortable meeting new people
• Marketing-minded and creative
• Confident making 50 calls a day
• Organized, disciplined and excellent at follow-up
• Persistent and results-oriented
• Comfortable representing a company in public
• Someone who brings ideas—and actually executes them
• Someone who doesn't wait for opportunities; you go looking for them

Marketing, recruitment, sales, hospitality, customer service, events, education or community-outreach experience is an asset.

A marketing degree or relevant marketing experience is preferred.

Requirements

• Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle — mandatory
• Willingness to travel throughout Guelph and the surrounding area
• Valid passport for occasional U.S. travel for training and development
• Flexibility to attend occasional evening or weekend events

Approved business mileage is reimbursed.
